Annual Events

NAMC key events focus on Opportunity Development, Education/Capacity Building, and Advocacy.

They include:

The Annual Mid-Winter NAMC Retreat in February

Opportunity development represents one of NAMC's three basic tenants. Each February the national entity and its Directors conduct a Board Retreat. The location rotates among the many local NAMC chapters – with an emphasis on development of the host chapters operations and increased exposure for its local members.

The first of three national board meetings takes place during the February session.

The Annual NAMC Conference in June

Education/capacity building represents one of NAMC's three basic tenants. Each June the national entity conducts an Annual Conference. The location rotates among the many local NAMC chapters, thus allowing the host chapter to benefit from the focused concentration of NAMC members, stakeholders and supporters. During the Annual General Membership meeting, NAMC's national agenda is translated, discussed and adopted, and the annual election of national directors takes place. The national entity presents the latest in industry-related educational/capacity building initiatives and relevant announcements via a set of workshops, presentations and demonstrations. Corporate partners and sponsors, prime and subcontractors formally and informally network. The Annual Conference is now the venue that hosts NAMC's popular Transportation Round Table – featuring a panel of nationally known experts.

The second of three national board meetings takes place during the June session.

The Washington, D.C. NAMC Board of Directors Meeting Each September

Advocacy represents one of NAMC's three basis tenants. Each September the national entity and its Directors visit the nation's capital and conduct a formal Congressional Breakfast. The session attracts elected officials from most states with an emphasis on those featuring NAMC chapters. In addition to the Congressional Breakfast, NAMC members "walk the Hill," participating in one-on-one, focused sessions with their respective Congressperson(s).

The third of the three national board meetings takes place during the September session.
